Postpartum Support Package

The Postpartum Support Package offers compassionate assistance after your baby’s arrival, focusing on easing your transition into parenthood. The package includes:

• Available by phone or email to discuss your hopes and concerns, addressing any non-medical questions related to your postpartum experience. For medical questions, your healthcare provider is always your best resource.
• Personalized in-home visits to provide hands-on support with newborn care, breastfeeding assistance, and guidance on soothing techniques. These visits are tailored to your specific needs and recovery process.
• Emotional and physical support for you as you recover from childbirth, whether from a natural delivery, cesarean section, or a difficult labor.
• Assistance with daily tasks, such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and care for older siblings, to help ease your transition.
• Education and resources on postpartum recovery, self-care strategies, and infant development.
• Access to my lending library of parenting books, relaxation CDs, and helpful resources.
• On-call availability: Daily from 10 AM to 5 PM for non-urgent matters at (520) 320-1917.
• On-call 24/7 phone availability for urgent concerns during the first two weeks postpartum.
• One in-home follow-up visit within 36 hours of the initial service period to check on your progress and address any new questions or concerns.
• A brief, written account of your postpartum experience (available upon request).

My Fees for the Postpartum Support Package

The cost for the Postpartum Support Package, which includes all the services listed above, is $1,850.

A deposit of $800 is required with a balance of $1,000 due within one week after the birth event.

Optional Services

• Prenatal Appointments: I can accompany you to your prenatal appointments with your care provider at any point during your pregnancy upon your request. This service is free of charge for the first prenatal appointment. Each additional appointment is $85.
• Birth Education: I can accompany you to your Birth Education classes upon your request. This service is $85 per class session.
• Photography: I would be happy to take pictures during your labor and birth. You will receive all images for your personal use. This service is $100.
• Additional postpartum pampering is available at $28/hour (4 hour minimum) during the hours of 10 AM – 5 PM

Postpartum Pampering

“Mothering the Mother” is a nurturing approach that focuses on your well-being as you adjust to life with a newborn. Services include:

• Caring for your baby while you nap, shower, or enjoy a meal.
• Assisting with feeding routines, including bringing the baby to you for feedings.
• Helping with burping, changing, and swaddling between feedings.
• Providing a comforting presence and knowledgeable support as you navigate early parenthood.

Note: Since 2009, many insurance policies allow for certified doula care. Please inquire with your carrier to see if your policy covers any of my services.
